The Centre Daily News: The Umelco Basic Law panel has decided its terms of reference, which is to study and review the progress of Basic Law drafting, provide opportunities for discussion on matters related to the Basic Law, and to report to the Umelco members regularly and make recommenda- tions.
Convenor of the Umelco Basic Law panel John Swaine: The panel will receive and collate public views on the Basic Law. Umelco members who are also BLDC and BLCC members can express Umelco members' views on the Basic Law at BLDC and BLCC meetings if they so wish.
