BLCC secretary -general Mao Junnian: BLCC is exempted from registration and local courts have no jurisdiction over it. It should be the BLCC executive committee that has the authority to interpret the BLCC constitution.

Financial Daily: The way the office-bearers have been returned is a deviation from the

BLCC vice-chairman Lee Kai-ming: If the 19 executive committee members still agree with the list of office- bearers, they can go through the proper election procedure again

to put their stamp of approval on the list. If not, another election should be held.
