Ming Pao: The latest
issue of the BLCC
bulletin sent to all BLCC
members said a noteworthy
point in preparing the draft structure of the
Basic Law is that the first step is for a BLDC working group to approach BLCC members and the general public in HK to seek their views on a particular subject. The BLCC will then discuss the subject and seek public views on it. So far about 80 civil servants have asked for admission tickets for the seminar organised by the BLCC on the Basic Law and civil service.
Convenor of the planning committee in BLCC Rayson Huang: The special
groups on HK's political system and the Basic Law structure are expected
to complete their reports and pass them on to the BLDC for reference in October 1986.
(report) BLCC deputy secretary-general Siu Sin-bor suggests that the five BLDC special groups should make known the topics of their deliberations so that the BLCC could seek local views on them.
