Regional Council (Amendment) Bill 1986
Sir,
I wish to thank Mr. Cheung and Mr. Cheong-Leen
for their support on the Regional Council (Amendment) Bill
1986.

I agree that the new Chinese name of the Regional
Council (will reflect more accurately the
nature and the scope of work of the Regional Council. I
also agree that the constant exchange of views amongst
members of both the Regional and Urban Councils on matters
of common interest falling within both Councils' responsibilities
is indeed in the best public interest. I am sure members of
the public will support the two Councils as well as enjoy the
services which they provide.
