ASSESSMENT OF EACH OBJECTION
ANNEX C
1. CHEUNG King-Hau (Pharmacy)
(Serial No. 1, para. 7 of Memorandum)
This objection was lodged through CC/TW and sought the provision of a
loading/unloading area between 472-482 Castle Peak Road. In addition, the
objector requested that adequate measures be taken during the works to ensure
the minimum inconvenience to the public.
Unfortunately the objector declined to attend a meeting with
representatives of DC/TW & PM/TW to discuss this matter in detail. At the
present time loading/unloading is not permitted at the area suggested. It is
also not possible to provide an off-street loading/unloading bay at or near this
location. It is, however, proposed that the possibility of relaxing the
existing no stopping restriction be reviewed once the works are complete.
effort shall also be made to minimise the disruption to the public as with all
public works contracts. It is not considered appropriate to amend the scheme in
the light of this objection.

(Serial No. 2, para. 7 of Memorandum)
The objection is identical to para. 1 above although the question of
"fung shui" was also raised.
An approach was made to the owner of the premises who denied actually
having written the letter. It is suspected that this may have originated from
an adjoining shop owner. Nevertheless, the request is similar to paragraph 1
above and it is suggested that the same action be taken. According to DC/TW
there is no apparent evidence relating this project to a "fung shui" problem.
