Scheme annexed to Plan Hos. TWCE/828A and TWOR/829 describing
Intersection of Castle Peak Road and Kwai Chung Roada,
Improvement Stage 11
General Description of the Works
The proposed works, as shown on Plan No. TWCE/828A, comprise the
construction of a three level interchange at the intersection of Crable Penk
Road and Kwai Chung Road. This will include two 2-lane flyovers, one rumiar
north-south on the line of Kwai Chung Road and Cheung Wing Road, and one
running cast-west of the line of Castle Peak Rond. Al ground level Castle
Peak Road, Kwai Chung Road and Cheung Wing Rond will all be widened, and a
footbridge system will be built at the junction incorporating an elevated
walkway on the west side of Kwai Chung Read. A new subway under Carlle Took
Rond will also be built commecting to in Win; Jane.

On completion the works will improve both vehicular and pedestrian
flows at the interchange whilst enhancing safety.
Land Resumption

The land which the Secretary for Lands and Works proposes to be
resumed under Section 13 of the Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance
(Chapter 370) is shown on Plan No. TWCE/829.
Roads to be closed or modified

A section of the existing; Kwong Fai Cireni! shown hatched in red
on Drawing No. TWCK/828A will need to be closed permanently under section 17.
Alternative access will be provided by the new roadworks, as shown coloured
brown on the same plan, prior to the road closure.
