FIGHT CRIME COMMITTEE
TERMS OF REFERENCE AND MEMBERSHIP OF
SUB-COMMITTEES AND WORKING GROUPS
STANDING COMMITTEE ON UNRULY AND DELINQUENT
BEHAVIOUR IN SCHOOLS
Terms of reference
(a) To monitor and report on the incidence
of unruly and delinquent behaviour of pupils in schools;
(b) to advise the Director of Education on
appropriate policy or administrative measures to be taken having regard to
the problems identified, on a
short-term and a long-term basis;
(c) to co-ordinate intra-departmental and
inter-departmental action on carrying
out these measures;
(d) to keep more education in schools under
review in conjunction with the
Curriculum Development Committee; and
(e) to report to the Board of Education
through the Director of Education, to
keep the Board informed of progress, to
recommend appropriate policy changes
and to seek the Board's endorsement of
such changes.
