(a) to supervise specified areas of government activity such as

education and lands and works;

The post of Deputy Governor is filled by the person who is be the Chief Executive (Designate), with the appropriate change in

title during that year.

The Chief Executive (Designate) assumes the Presidency of

Executive Council in regard to major policy matters. Foreign affairs and defence are retained by the Governor.
