children in their school and family are imbued with the concept of
independent thinking, respect of others, equal rights, no blind. following, no suppression of other's views, the importance of the masses
and the nation Only when the concept of democracy is instilled into
every member of the public can a democratic society have a solid base.

It is a sacred undertaking and not profit-making without obligation.
Construction requires the spirit of enterprise and struggle and the belief that through hard work, Hong Kong will become more prosperous and
stable. Construction means the adoption of an attitude of a master
instead of a passive, pessimistic, and undecisive one, or to be wallowed
in Colonial memories. After all, it is better to stand up as a free man
and map out the blueprint of Hong Kong's future with our own hands, than
to take instructions from foreigners.
In order to look at the Hong Kong issue from the point of view of the Chinese people, we must break away from the "great Hong Kong" concept
which is the result of separation from the mainland for over one hundred years and ruled for a long time by foreigners. Also, we must change our apathetic attitude towards our country and our people. Many people call themselves "Hong Kong people" and in their hearts, they distinguish them-
selves from the Chinese people as if there is no common interest or linkage between the Hong Kong people and the Chinese people. Only when we recognize that Hong Kong is part of China, that the high degree of autonomy of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is vested by the National People's Congress of China, and that the future of Hong Kong is closely related to the future of China, then we will not lose our direction on the Hong Kong issue and will not be misled by opinions which aim to separate Hong Kong
from the mainland.
