Agreement. Mr Li said that nevertheless there would be many worries in Hong Kong about Labour Party policies, particularly towards the Soviet Union. The arrival of a Socialist Government in Britain would also deter Hong Kong investment there. Mr Li said that he had seen Deng Xiaoping in Peking in June. He exected some very important changes at the Chinese Party Congress next year. Chinese reformist programmes could well take a giant step forward.
