I attach the comprehensive briefing proposed for the
Secretary of State's weekend at Chevening with Sir Y K on 15/16
March, together with Mr Culshaw's minute of 17 March (which
does no t reveal much of
of what Sir YK had ០៧ his mind Mr
Renton may wish to have a word wi th the Secretary of State to
obtain a further story).

There is little to add, only:
a) that there has been an exchange of
exchange of letters between the
Home Office and 10 Downing Street on the subject of very
wealthy Chinese businessmen who wish to acquire British
citizenship.
b) the exchanges continue with the Home Office Kong nationality questions: Brief No. VII is still
on Hong

3. Again, it would be useful if Mr Renton could let us have
what transpires SO that we can if necessary alter our briefing
for Sir Y K's later meetings.
