Purchased first ship in 1955 and formed World Wide Shipping Group,
now the world's largest independent.
A director of Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation.
Chairman of Intertanko. Chaimman of Wheelock Marden Group. Member
of Basic Law Drafting Committee.
Chaiman and Major shareholder in Dragonair and Director of CPA.
Has a joint venture with the Chinese in ship-building and shipping.
Sir Y K Pao visits Peking regularly. He has excellent connections
and enjoys considerable access to Chinese leaders. On each of his
last three visits - May
May and December 1984 and May 1985 he has
called on Deng Xiaoping.
