We spoke about a Hong Kong Dept briefing for Miss Blayney who leaves for Hong Kong on 21 October for 2 weeks.
2. I have arranged for her to see Colvyn Haye on the afternoon of 17 October and PUSD that morning. The morning of Friday
18 October would be a convenient time for your briefing if this suits you.
3. I attach a copy of a letter I received recently from Alex Purves, which covered a copy of the Deputy Chief Secretary's letter to Heads of Departments in Hong Kong, setting out the object of Miss Blayney's visit.
