We discussed the attached 1955 papers yesterday.
ong Kong have now confirmed that they wish us to prevent or delay the release of these papers, because of their reference to "the ambiguous wording of the Convention of 1898" on the waters of Deep Bay. We will have to discuss Hong Kong's territorial waters with the Chinese in the next 12 years, and this could be prejudicial.
