Clause 8 amends section 14C -

to enable a restraining order to be made

in respect of property in possession of a

third party where there is, to the

satisfaction of the court, having regard

to the relationship between a suspected

person and a third party and to other

circumstances, reason to believe that

the property is held by the third party

for or on behalf of the suspected person;

to provide that a restraining order may

also apply to income from specified

property; and

to provide that where a confiscation or

monetary penalty order is made on the

conviction of a suspected person the

res training order will remain in force

until the order is complied with.

10. Clauses 9 and 10 amend procedures governing the

surrender and the return of a suspect's travel documents.

Clause 9 amends section 17A -

to make it clear that after the initial

period of 6 months, the period of any further

extension shall be at the discretion of the

magistrate but shall not exceed 3 months on
