To improve contacts between British Companies and Vietnamese trading organisations.
2. To improve knowledge of barter and counter trade practices and determine where these might provide worthwhile opportunities for British exporters.
3. To provide DTI with regular comment and summaries on commercial/ economic developmens that may indicate future opportunities for British goods and services.
CONSULAR

To obtain Vietnamese provision of prompt and adequate consular access to any individuals for whom we have consular responsibility.

2. To persuade Vietnam to observe fully the provisions of the Vienna Convention on consular relations and the Geneva Rules on the treatment of prisoners etc.

1. To improve Vietnamese cooperation in expediting ODP departures.
