ADJOURNMENT DEBATE : THURSDAY 9 MAY

1.

The Government Chief Whip's Office have advised that Mr Clive Soley (La-Hammersmith) has won the ballot for the adjournment debate on Thursday 9 May and has put down the following subject:

The reunion of Minh Thi Bui and her family currently living in a closed camp in Hong Kong.

The debate lasts for half an hour, normally starting at about 10.00 pm, with the Minister responsible responding to Mr Soley, who has asked a number of Questions about Vietnamese refugees in Hong Kong. I should be grateful for confirmation that Mr Luce will handle this debate.

3. HKD should liaise with the relevant Private Secretary about the length of the required wind up speech and supplementaries and background.
