Finally, I would only add that, in my own experience, Feldmann's remarks need to be treated with some caution: they are usually motivated by good in ten tions, but do not always lead to concrete results (cf para 4 above). If, as
Ken Woodhouse reported after his visit to Geneva, Feldmann is shortly to be replaced, may I suggest that you try to ensure that he briefs his successor (do you know who this will be?) fully on the problem before departing, SO that there is some continuity in UNCHR' S approach. Otherwise I fear that much of the momen tum will be lost.
