VIETNAMESE FAMILY REUNION CASES

Ministers will wish to be aware that the first group of refugees accepted under the relaxed family reunion criteria outlined in the response to the SCORRI report
will arrive in the United Kingdom next week.
2. The group consists of the On and the Ly families, comprising ten members each.
These families were given priority because of the offers of accommodation in Leeds
and Nottingham respectively which would enable them to remain together.
3.
Authority for settlement has been given through the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and, subject to flights being available, the families will be arriving here
between 15-19 November.
