6. I should be grateful if Departments would let me know by lunchtime on Tuesday 3 September:
(a) which subjects the Secretary of State should raise with Mr Clark
and Mr Mulroney;
(b) which subjects it would be useful for him to raise with one or
both if time permits; and
(c) any subjects which the Canadians may be expected to raise with
Sir Geoffrey.
7.
In the light of departments' views, we will ask Ottawa to discuss an agenda with the Canadians, for submission to the Secretary of State on his return to the Office.
