Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Audit (Amendment) Ordinance 1985 Short title and and shall come into operation on the entry into force of the Joint Declaration of the commencement. Government of the United Kingdom and the Government of the People's Republic of
China signed in Peking on 19 December 1984.
2. Section 11 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) by being renumbered as subsection (1);

(b) in paragraph (b) by deleting "and" at the end thereof;
(c) by deleting paragraph (c) and substituting the following-
(17 of 1985.)
"(c) a statement of the assets and liabilities of the Capital Works
Reserve Fund;
(d) a statement of the receipts and payments by the Capital Works Reserve Fund for the period from the commencement of the Audit (Amendment) Ordinance 1985 to 31 March 1986, and thereafter an annual statement of the receipts and payments by the Capital Works Reserve Fund; and
(e) such other statements as the Governor may specify from time to
time.":
(d) by inserting after subsection (1) the following-

"(2) In this section and in section 12 "Capital Works Reserve Fund" means the Capital Works Reserve Fund established by resolu- tion of the Legislative Council passed on 20 January 1982.".
Section 12(1) of the principal Ordinance is amended in paragraph (b)— (a) in sub-paragraph (i) by deleting "and" at the end thereof;
(b) in sub-paragraph (ii) by deleting the full stop and substituting a semicolon; (c) by inserting after sub-paragraph (ii) the following-
(17 of 1985.)
"(iii) a copy of the statement of assets and liabilities of the Capital Works Reserve Fund, duly certified by him; and
(iv) a copy of the statement of the receipts and payments by the Capital Works Reserve Fund for the period from the commencement of the Audit (Amendment) Ordinance 1985 to 31 March 1986, duly certified by him, and thereafter a copy of the annual statement of the receipts and payments by the Capital Works Reserve Fund, duly certified by him.".
