Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Buildings (Amendment) Ordinance 1983.

Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended—
(a) by inserting after "bridge", in the definition of “building”, the following—
", cavern adapted or constructed to be used for the storage of oil and petroleum products"; and
(b) by inserting, after the definition of "occupier", the following-

""oil and petroleum products" means crude petroleum or petroleum
feed-stock and includes semi-refined petroleum which is liquid or solid at ambient temperatures and pressures;".
Section 38(1)(ia) of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting, after "oil and petroleum products;", the following-
"prohibiting the use of any oil storage installation, requiring any oil and petroleum products to be removed from any oil storage installation, the seizure, removal and detention of any oil and petroleum products not removed from any oil storage installation as required, the power of entry, inspection and examination;".
