(3) UNITED KINGDOM: no visa are required from holders of "British passport, UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND" which defines the holder as a "British Subject, Citizen of the United Kingdom and the Colonies" and holders of a "British Visitors Passport" for a stay of up to 3 months. Exemption from visa is conditional on, holder being born in United Kingdom or if the passport is issued in the United Kingdom or by the British embassy at Dublin, or if passport is provided with one of the following endorsements:

'holder has the right of abode in the United Kingdom"

b. "holder has the right of abode in the United Kingdom, but has no right to employment or

establishment in the remainder of the EEC".

d. "Holder is defined as a United Kingdom national for Community purpose" (only British passports

issued at Gibraltar).

e. "Holder is entitled to admission/re-admission to the United Kingdom"

f. "Entry Certificate" and "Given leave to enter the United Kingdom for an indefinite period". g. "The time limit on the holder's leave to enter the United Kingdom is hereby removed". Holders of British passports with endorsement f. and g. must not within the last 2 years (including the expected stay in Denmark) have stayed outside United Kingdom.

British passports in which the holder is endorsed as "British Protected Person' page 5) as "Holder is subject to controle under "THE IMMIGRATION ACT 1971 or "THE COMMON- WEALTH IMMIGRATION ACT" do not entitle the holder absolute access to enter the United Kingdom. For such persons visa therefore are required in Denamrk.

OTHER COUNTRIES: valid passport and entry or transit visa.

JNITED NATIONS: Laissez-Passer, do not require a visa.

Curopean Economic Community (EEC): Laissez-Passer, do not require a visa.

Diplomats: when travelling as tourists they must comply with the same formalities as other nationals

of their country.

Pakistani, Philippine and Turkish diplomatic and official passports and special passports do not require a visa.

stateless persons, re fugees, persons of undetermined nationality: entry or transit visa, valid travel document and return visa to country of domicile, except that a visa is not required by holders of a valid travel document issued in con formi ty with the Geneva Convention of 28 July 1951 on the legal status of refugees, provided the travel document has been issued in Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany (Fed. Rep. of), Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland or United Kingdom and that the holder is a legal resident in one of these countries. Holders of a valid Finnish, Norwegian or Swedish aliens passport may enter without a visa for a stay not exceeding 3 months, provided the passport or other travel document bears valid permit to the issuing country.

Children under 16 accompanied by adult and entered in the latter's passport do not need their own passport.

B.: GREENLAND and FAROES: The same entry formalities apply as for metropolitan Denmark. A special permit is required for trips to the military zones of Sondre Stromfjord and Thule. However, no permit is required for transiting to towns in Greenland via Sondre Stromfjord. A visa, a residence permit and a work permit do not include Greenland and the Faroes unless this expressly is stated.

1: Collective passports: The passport must show the traveller's full name, place and date of birth

and nationality, his occupation and address. The persons included in the passport must enter and leave Denmark together, and are required to carry a personal document of identity. The person in charge of the group must carry his own pasport, his name and the number and date of issue of his passport must be shown in the collective passport.

period of stay includes the total length of time spent by the traveller in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, within the last 6 months counted from the latest date of arrival in any of these countries. 3: For a stay of more than 3 months, application for an extension should be made before expiry, to the local police. In Copnhagen to Tilsynet med Udlaendige, Anker Heegardsgade 5, DK-1572. In general, authorization for an extended stay will be refused, but a short extension may be granted.

Nationals of the EEC countries who wish to stay longer than 3 months may apply for a residence permit after arrival. However, it is advisable to contact the nearest Danish embassy or consulate prior to departure. They do not require a work permit.

Nationals of all other countries, including Australia, Canada and the United States of America (except of Nordic countries) who wish to stay longer than 3 months require a work and residence permit. Applications should be submitted in good time to a Danish diplomatic representative in the applicant's home country of residence for the past 6 months. Currently, no work permits granted. Employment may not be accepted without a work permit. These regulations apply also to temporary employment such as students jobs. rage 75
