Finally there is the question whether. regional policy can and should be focussed on areas affected by liberalisation of TC trade.
21. The industries and other interested parties are still being consulted. We do not suggest Ministers seek to reach any final decisions until this has been done. We suggest that a programme of meetings with the interests affected be arranged in January, and that the possibility of regional policy remedies be assessed further.
