HONG KONG'S FUTURE POSITION IN THE GATT

You will have seen Hong Kong telno 838 containing the text of a draft paper to be put to Hong Kong's Executive Council about Hong Kong's future position in the GATT. You will also have seen the comments which we have received on the draft viz:

We have now received Hong Kong telno 1000, a copy of which is
enclosed.

I should be grateful to receive by close of play on Wednesday 29 May, any comments that you may have on the enclosed redraft of the EXCO paper.
This takes full account of all the comments which we received on the original text and has been cleared with the relevant FCO departments and with our legal advisers.
