MEMORANDUM OF APPROPRIATION
HIS AGREEMENT made the 1st
day of
February
BETWEEN
One thousand nine hundred and seventy five CRAWFORD MURRAY MACLEHOSE, Kaight Commander of the Host Distinguished Ordor of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its
Aating Governor Dependencies (who and whose successors in office and the Officer for the time being administoning the Government-of-the-Colony are hereinafter referred to as "the Governor") of the one part AND Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for Defence (hereinafter referred to as "the Secretary of State") of the other part WITNESSETH that all that piece of land situate at Broadcast Drive in the said Colony
containing 46,000
and edged red

square feet or thereabouts delineated
on the plan annexed here to and intended
to be known and registered in the Land Office as Ministry of Defence
Lot No. 127
(which piece of land is hereinafter referred to as "the. said land") IS though remaining vested in the Crown HEREBY APPROPRIATED AND SET APART for the use of the Secretary of State for purposes in connection with the maintenance of the garrison and the defence of the Colony on the
following terms and conditions:
1.
The said land together with the four buildings erected or constructed thereon all at the expense of the Colonial Government as indicated on the said plan and set out in Part 2 of the Schedule here to shall be used by the Secretary of State only for the purpose of residential accommodation for Ministry of Defence personnel
or for such other purpose in connection with the maintenance of the
garrison and the defence of the Colony as shall from time to time be
agreed by the parties (hereinafter referred to as "the said purposes")
