Jih-wai: The Basic law drafting committee should have HK representatives in it. Ng Hon-man added that the Basic Law should stipulate that Chinese should be the teaching medium in primary and secondary schools, that the Government should give more assistance to private schools, and that education professionals, rather than
administrators alone, should be responsible for formulating education policy.
