COMMONWEALTH PARLIAMENTARY ASSOCIATION (CPA): ANNUAL CONFERENCE
1. It may be useful for you to have the following information about the Annual Conference of the CPA which is to be held this year in Saskatchewan from 30 September to 12 October. Specialist meetings, briefing sessions and provincial tours will take place from 30 September to 5 October and the Conference proper will be held in Saskatoon from 7 to 12 October.
2. The Right Honourable The Baroness Young, Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs will lead the British Delegation. She will be accompanied by her Private Secretary. I will also be attending the Conference as adviser to the Minister.

CPA Annual Conferences are gatherings at which Commonwealth Parliamentarians exchange views on political, economic and other subjects of mutual interest. No resolutions are passed and no communiqué is issued. These meetings do, however, provide an opportunity for our MPS to explain the British point of view on current issues to over 200 other Parliamentarians from a wide
