(f) Paragraph 7(4)(a) provides for the insertion of the new national status in section 4(1) of the BNA 1981. We would suggest that it be inserted before rather than after 'a British protected person', since like the other three categories already mentioned it is a category of British nationality whereas the status of British protected person strictly speaking is not.
