5. On and after the relevant date, the British Nationality Act
1981 shall have effect as if in Schedule 6 to that Act (a) (British
dependent territories) the words "Hong Kong" were omitted and
accordingly no person shall acquire British Dependent Territories

citizenship on or after the relevant date by virtue (wholly-OF
partly of his having a connection with Hong-Kong (as a dependent
