HONG KONG BILL: NATIONALITY PROVISIONS
1.
We discussed with Mr Luce Mr Waddington's letter of
17 January and you subsequently explained to Mr Waddington's Private Secretary why the Minister did not feel able to agree to the suggestion that we should place the draft Order-in-Council on nationality in the library of the House by Committee stage on 28 January.
As you will have seen, the Secretary of State has strongly endorsed this view.
