EFFECT OF AMENDMENT
The effect of the amendment would be to entitle former Hong Kong
BDTCs who become BN (0)s before 1 July 1997 to register as British
Citizens if they had no other nationality status. This would apply
to non-Chinese BDTCs and to Chinese nationals who
nationality status or who are deprived of it. It
