1. I have spoken to Parliamentary Counsel about the Notice of Amendments given up to and including 4 February. He expects that we shall receive another list tomorrow, which will be identical, except for the possible insertion of fresh amendments put down at the last minute. If there are any of the latter he considers that they will be unlikely to be selected.
2. He has spoken to the Parliamentary Clerk about the grouping of amendments. As a result he expects the nationality amendments to be taken together (nos 1-5). Nos 6, 7 and 8 are unlikely to be selected. No 9 (Adaptation of Law) will be taken separately.
