It will be in the
interest of HK, China and UK to find a solution which could allow Britain/HK to continue to administer HK while ensuring the
compatibility between the Basic Law and the future political development.
(Sing Pao): The pace of the current political reforms was slow and gradual. Unless political reform was suspended for the time being, it could not progress on the
foundation of the Basic
Law as the Basic Law had not been drafted.
