fail to provide adequate guards. The Inspectorate has been
reviewing its priorities so as to give greater priority to
the more hazardous workplaces and more Inspectors have been
deployed to activities which are likely to have a direct and
effective impact in the prevention of accidents. Amendments
to the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance are
now being drafted which, if enacted, will enable the Inspectorate
to spend less time on comparatively unproductive work.
