January in advance of publication. The briefing would
have to be on a strictly confidential basis as any leak

confirmed that the draft Order in Council containing the
nationality provisions would be published before it was
debated. In reply to the Attorney General, the Governor
said he assumed that the Order

INVITATION TO THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE TO VISIT CHINA
The
Commissioner
Governor
informed Members that the
of Police bad received an official
invitation to visit China. He would seek the Council's
view at the next meeting on whether the invitation
should be accepted. The argument in favour of
acceptance was that co-operation between the RHKPF and
their Chinese counterparts was important, particularly
