(b) THE MAGISTRACY
The Attorney General said that there was по
truth in recent media reports to the effect that
ten expatriate magistrates were leaving the
Judiciary because of dissatisfaction over promotion
prospects or concerns over the future of Hong
Kong. Ten magistrates were leaving in the normal
course on completion of their agreements but in co
case had the decision to leave been motivated by
such concerns.
The meeting concluded at 12.05 p.m.
