The notification and declaration of interest should be sufficiently detailed for the Governor and other members to be able to assess accordingly that Member's contribution, especially in cases where withdrawal is not required.

It is considered that a register of declarable interests such as operates now in the House of Commons is not practicable in the circumstances of Hong Kong. But lists of membership of Advisory Boards etc can easily be made.
