at the same time public confidence in the integrity of Members of Executive Council and in the impartiality of the advice tendered
Members must in Council must be maintained. also be protected (so far as possible) from criticism or embarrassment arising from the existence of personal interests;
all interests must be made known, so that in vi those cases where a Member with: an interest:: advïses, his contribution can be assessed accordingly.
It is the personal responsibility of the individual Member to decide whether he has an interest, and to declare it if he has. In cases of doubt, it may be helpful for him, not later if possible than the day before the Meeting, to discuss his position with the Chief Secretary or Attorney. General, who can if necessary alert the Governor.
