place in the Legislative Council Chamber in the presence
of the Minister of State, invited members of the public
and of representatives of the media. The proceedings in
Chamber will commence at 4.40 p.m. with the
swearing-in of new Members and valedictories for those
who have retired from
from the Council at the end of

1984/85 session.

Annual Address to the Council. The entire proceedings
will be broadcast live on television and radio and there
will also be facilities for
for members of the public to
witness the proceedings from television monitors which
will be placed in a Committee Room of the Chamber. The
proceedings in the Chamber will be completed by 6.30
p.m..
The Governor will then entertain the Minister of
State, Members of the two Councils
Councils and other prominent
members of the community at a reception to be held in
the building.
The spokesman said that the conversion of the
building to its new role had been undertaken at a cost
