HONG KONG DOLLAR: HONG KONG GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION
1. You should see the exchange of telegrams resting with Hong Kong telno 1359 on this subject. As you see the Governor is extremely concerned that we should not give wide distribution to their intervention measures. We are not. Nor do we need to know detail about their intervention. But we do have to be able to brief Ministers.
2. You may wish to raise this with Sir J Bremridge when the latter calls.
