Year Th. Love

Through you, may I thank the Unofficial Members of the Legislative Council for their part in entertaining me at lunch during my visit to Hong Kong following the signing of the Joint Declaration in Peking.

It was a very happy occasion and a memorable part of what was a historic, and for me a very moving, visit. I was also very honoured to have the opportunity of attending a meeting of the Legislative Council and reporting to it on my impressions of my visit to China. Please will you pass on my warm thanks to your colleagues, together with my best wishes for the future in the very important work they do in the interests of Hong Kong.
