Visit of the Prime Minister to Peking and Hong Kong
In your letter of 5 December you asked if you could have draft speeches for the visit by 7 December.
I enclose drafts of the three speeches which the Prime Minister will make:
(i)
at the signature ceremony in Peking;
(ii)
at the banquet in Peking;
(iii)
to a joint meeting of EXCO and LEGCO in Hong Kong.
The drafts have been cleared with the Embassy in Peking and with the Governor of Hong Kong.
