Thank you for your letter of 29 October 1984 about the questions and answers following the House of Lords statement on the Hong Kong agreement.
I attach draft letters which Lord Trefgarne may wish to send to Lord Molloy, Lord Mayhew and Lord Fanshawe. Mr Luce has agreed to see Lord Shepherd who asked during the questions and answers to see Ministers responsible for Hong Kong to discuss the concerns of certain Hong Kong civil servants.
