1. I submit a draft Private Secretary letter seeking authority
from No 10 to issue a telegram, draft attached, to our posts in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore instructing them how to notify host governments of the Prime Minister's visit to China and Hong Kong. The telegram also contains defensive briefing in case news of the Prime Minister's possible Easter visit to Sri Lanka should
leak in Colombo.
