Sir Patrick Nairne wrote to you on 27 November enclosing his folder of papers relating to the work of the Monitoring Team. I attach a draft reply.

2. I attach the two folders and have flagged a couple of papers in the folder containing papers on the modus operandi of the Monitoring Team, which you might find worth a glance. It is also interesting to note that the final report of the Monitors differed very little from Sir Patrick's first draft.

Please could you return the folders to me because I need to discuss with LRD where they should be filed. Miss Donougho has suggested we show them to the Chief Registrar and seek his advice.
