I enclose a copy of a letter from Sir Patrick Nairne to the Head of Hong Kong Department claiming payment of his fees for the period 25 September to 15 October inclusive. This amounts to £3,003. [21 days x £143 daily feel. I should be grateful if you would arrange payment of this amount, less income tax and national insurance, directly into Sir Patrick's bank account.

I also attach a XF (0) 14 form completed by Sir Patrick, in which he claims £12.50 for incidental expenses. I should be grateful if you could also arrange payment of this amount along with his fees.
