I attach, as agreed, a list of speakers for the Debate on Lord Fanshawe's Unstarred Question next Monday evening. Lady Young would be more than happy for you or Dr Wilson to have a word with any of them you thought appropriate to suggest points that they might make in the Debate. It is normal practice in the House of Lords to enquire in advance of a Debate whether there are any particular points a Peer would like answered in the Government's reply and this might be helpful to you in making your approach.
Lady Young has asked me to have a word with Lord Fanshawe on these lines and I have tried to do so this afternoon. He is, however, away in Sweden until tomorrow and I will try again first thing on Monday morning.
