We continue to send you these reports (the most recent one being our telegram No. 2087 of 23 July), and will keep on doing so as long as they are of use to you.

I would however be most grateful for an
indication of whether you do find them useful; and whether there are any changes in format that you would like to see. What about length? The Governor directed that our most recent report should be kept fairly short, to help you incorporate it in the briefing for the Secretary of State. Normally we spread ourselves rather more verbosely. do you prefer?
