Most of the respondents feared that China would change its mind in future. They wanted the systems to remain unchanged for as long as possible and the inevitable changes to be as few as possible. They wanted as many arrangements, promises and guarantees as possible, and these should be as trustworthy as possible. What they want unchanged are "freedom, rule of law, stability and prosperity".
